Our partnership with Lotte Cinema has been a process of continuous iteration and optimization, supporting the upgrade from the classic LS-815 model to the enhanced LS-815C VIP cinema seating.

Challenge: Lotte Cinema required premium cinema recliner seating that operated with exceptional quietness, making acoustic performance the non-negotiable priority.

Leadcom Solution: 

• Ultra-Quiet Operation: We meticulously optimized fabric placement and all contact points within the back and inner armrest. This critical design focus eliminated friction noise during reclining, ensuring total acoustic comfort.

Project Scope: 2900 seats

The CGV project encompasses a total of eight cinemas, scheduled for completion by December 2025. After a highly competitive three-round tender process that narrowed 4 competitors, our LS-815D luxury cinema seating won the 2,900-seat tender for its superior aesthetics and performance.

Highlights of LS-815D

• Ergonomic Contouring: 

The back and seat are meticulously designed to follow the human body’s curves, providing superior wrapping support and comfort.

• Replaceable Upholstery Covers: 

The seatback covers feature a replaceable design, significantly reducing long-term maintenance costs and downtime.

This series not only meets CGV’s high aesthetic standards but also fulfills their rigorous requirements for an exceptional, comfortable viewing experience. To date, the installation for the first two cinemas has been successfully completed, with Leadcom having delivered nearly 1,700 recliner seats for the movie theater.

Locations: Coex Mall (1,125 seats) & Gongju (728 seats)

Challenge: Megabox aimed to maximize seating capacity in two flagship locations within strict spatial confines. The critical challenge was a demanding 550mm center-to-center seat width – a specification where conventional cinema seats would create a cramped, uncomfortable audience experience, inevitably leading to crowding and dissatisfied patrons.

Solution: We overcame this spatial limitation with an innovative, adjustable center-distance seat mechanism. This proprietary engineering allowed for the precise calibration of each seat’s pivot point and armrest design, optimizing personal space and ensuring comfort. The Wilmot L-C04 cinema theatre seat was deployed specifically for its ability to deliver on these rigorous requirements without compromising on structural integrity or aesthetic appeal.

Result: Both Megabox locations achieved their goal of maximum seat count without sacrificing audience comfort. The innovative design eliminated the feeling of crowding, ensuring clear aisles and personal space for every guest. The project stands as a testament to how smart, tailored engineering can overcome spatial limitations, delivering both operational efficiency and an uncompromised, premium customer experience.

Project: Megabox Dongtan (Fully customized 476 VIP cinema seats)

Challenge: To design a recliner solution for a compact 1.9-meter row spacing that delivered premium comfort without sacrificing functionality, all while aligning with specific client usage habits.

Leadcom Customized Solution: We engineered a fully bespoke recliner system to overcome spatial constraints and enhance the user experience. The design featured an innovative flip-up seat cushion and a replaceable backrest cover system for easy maintenance and longevity. The core innovation was a fully customizable foldable tabletop, meticulously designed to provide utility without compromising the narrow aisle. Every element—from the recliner’s opening arc to the tabletop’s size was calibrated for the exact 1.9-meter pitch.

Result: The project successfully delivered a high-capacity, luxury seating solution that feels spacious within a compact footprint. Our client received a product tailored precisely to their operational needs and audience habits, demonstrating our commitment to transforming specific challenges into perfected, custom-fit solutions.
